BUILDING TRONEITOR FROM SCRAP

When I started experimenting with electronics, one of my favorite pastimes was taking apart old transistor radios that no longer worked and desoldering the components one by one until the board was empty. Well, that’s the way I built the module that in the TRoneitor description I call the classic synth. In the photo you can see the finished module on the left, and on the right the original board, the control circuit of an old RICOH copier. The novelty is that this time I reused the empty board: I took advantage of some of the copper tracks of the original circuit, I discarded others by scraping the copper with a pair of scissors until the connection was broken, and I used a good amount of cables to interconnect the components in most of the cases. Maybe it looks a bit messy, but it really doesn’t sound bad at all!
